COVID and Short term Home Learning Information when isolating

Home Learning if your child is away from School due to Covid

If you let us know that your child is absent or isolating due to COVID we may be able to sort some learning for you to do at home. Please be mindful, however that teachers have a big workload, planning and teaching their regular lessons, and this may take a couple of days to organise. We ask that in the meantime that you focus on Literacy and Numeracy:

      • 30 mins reading and completing their log.
      • 30 mins handwriting and spelling e.g. copying out weekly spellings using LCSWC - LOOK, COVER, SPELL, WRITE, CHECK
      • Work on Homework grids all pupils/ SAT practice (Y6)
      • 30 mins on each – IXL and TT Rockstars
      • 30 mins on Lexia (Language programme)
      • 30 – 60 mins mins on Foundation Homework tasks (see website under Children Homework/ Things to do at Home)
      •  60 mins exercising

Please note that these are only recommended times and that the length of time will vary greatly depending upon the age of your child, their ability and independence and your capacity to support.
