Bolton Nursery is a charity-led nursery ran by a committee that is separate to Bolton Primary School but we very have strong links with them and run a successful transition programme throughout the year.
Please see the information below:
Bolton Nursery is a dedicated children’s day nursery and holiday club. We are situated in the village of Bolton near Appleby with all the benefits of the countryside surrounding us. The nursery has been running since 1995 and has excellent roots in the community.
Since opening, we have grown as a company and more importantly as a ‘family’. We are lucky to have so many long serving and passionate people in our team, who actively strive for the best for the children and each other. We welcome all children and their families into our nursery and aim to provide a true home from home, we value the input from all our families to enhance the children’s learning and development.
We pride ourselves as a quality childcare setting, offering only the best childcare, learning and play to all children. We go the extra mile to make sure children’s creativity and imagination is fostered and embraced, we capture the magic of childhood and enhance children’s learning through play and natural experiences.
Here at Bolton Nursery, we aim to create a relaxed, flexible and supportive learning environment, where children are valued as individuals, where their needs are met, and their voices heard. By encouraging children to investigate their own environment and by observing and supporting their play, we aim to in still a can-do attitude for all children, encouraging confidence, self-esteem, creativity and independence. We encourage children to be involved in decision making and we promote independence and risk taking through a range of carefully considered experiences that encourage awareness of possible hazards as well as using trial and error to achieve their goals.
Our nursery provides day-care for children aged from 3 months to 5 years and holiday club to all children within the Eden valley aged between 4 – 11 years of age (13 for children with SEN). We have fantastic links with the local school and run a fun packed breakfast and after-school club. Our nursery is open from 8am-6pm Monday-Friday and we offer flexible hours to suit everyone’s needs. We provide both the 15 hours universal funding for 3 year olds and if you are a working parent the governments extended funding either 30 hours per week term time or 22.25 hours per week 51 weeks of the year. Some 2 year olds may also be eligible to 15 hours per week free funding.
