Staff

 

At Bolton Nursery we pride ourselves on employing highly qualified and enthusiastic staff with work experience in the childcare sector.

 

Our team is dedicated and passionate about their role in early education. We strive to keep up to date with current theory and practice relating to early years, therefore the training of our staff is paramount to the nursery. Both Bolton Nursery staff and Committee members place a high degree of importance on providing continual professional development opportunities for staff.  As such, throughout the year staff undertake further training and refresher courses.

 

Kaya Bennett – Manager. 

Kaya is responsible for running all aspects of the Nursery, managing and coordinating all staff, overseeing planning.  Kaya has a NVQ level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development and a foundation degree in Teaching and Learning Support.

 

Rebecca Constable – Assistant Manager / Foundation Stage Practitioner.

Rebecca works with the pre-school group. She is responsible for providing children aged 3-5 with the resources and activities to cover a range of skills throughout the seven areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage.  Rebecca has a BA(Hons) Degree in Primary Education with QTS - First Class honours. 

 

Sarah Alexander – Baby Room Supervisor / Assistant Manager.  

Sarah works with the under 2’s group. She is responsible for providing babies/toddlers with a range of resources that stimulates their emotional, physical and language development. Sarah has a NVQ level 3 in Childcare learning and development, a BTEC National Diploma - Social Care and a NVQ level 4 in Managers in Residential Childcare. 

 

Emma Banks – Nursery Practitioner. 

Emma works part-time with the baby group and helps with the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.  She has been working in the childcare sector since 1996 and has an NNEB Diploma in Nursery Nursing.

 

Anya Raine – Nursery Practitioner. 

Anya works with the 2-3-year-old group and will be responsible for providing toddlers with a range of activities that stimulates their emotional, physical and language development. 

Anya has an NVQ level 3 in ‘Supporting Teaching and Learning’.

 

Caroline Shaw – Foundation Stage. 

Caroline works with the pre-school group. She is responsible for providing children aged 3-5 with the resources and activities to cover a range of skills throughout the seven areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Caroline has an NVQ level 5 in Leadership and Management and a NNEB Diploma in Nursery Nursing. Caroline is also our SENCO.

  

Shannon Barry – Nursery Practitioner. 

Shannon works with the 2-3-year-old group and helps providing toddlers with a range of activities that stimulates their emotional, physical and language development. 

Shannon has an BTEC level 3 in ‘Childcare, Learning and Development’.

 

Johanne Baxter – Office Manager. 

Johanne is experienced in all aspects of office management. She is currently working part-time, to ensure the smooth running of all the financial and administrative aspects of the nursery.  Johanne has a NVQ level 3 in Business Administration, NVQ level 2 in Information Technology and NVQ Level 3 in Word processing.

 

Beverley Hughes - Bank Staff

(NVQ level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development)

 

Rob MacFarquhar – Bank Staff 

(Rob has an BSC Hons in Nursing and has experience in working with Early Years children)

 

Anne Titterington – Bank Staff 

(Anne has lots of experience working with brownies and guides)

 

Kerry Chappelhow – Bank Staff 

(Kerry has an NNEB Diploma in Nursery Nursing)

 

 

Committee Members

 

Bolton Nursery is a committee run charity nursery this means that any money made goes back into the nursery to support the children. Committee members consist of parents / carers that use the nursery services. Their role is to oversee the running of nursery. The committee meet every 2 months with the manager to discuss the running of the nursery and ideas for future fundraising and development. The committee is a great way to get more of an insight into your child’s time at nursery and a greater understanding of the running of nursery. If when your child starts nursery you are interested in joining the committee, please talk to a member of staff.
